Meet our H.S.A. Secretary - Carolyn Childers

Mother to Noah (7th Grade)

My  name  is  Carolyn  Childers  and  I  currently  serve  as  the HSA  secretary.    My  son  Noah  is  in  the  sixth  grade  here  at George McCann. I  grew up in Visalia  in  the  front  pew  of  St. Mary’s  with  my  big  Portuguese  family.  I  am  a  nursing educator,  and  currently  teach  in  the  RN  program  at College  of  the  Sequoias.  I  and  my  family  have  been involved  in  George  McCann  and  religious  education  for many  years.  My  husband  Sid  and  I  are  honored  to  be  able to  have  our  son  attend  GMC.  We  have  been  here  at  the school  for  8  years,  since  our  son  was  in  pre-K.  We  enjoy having  such  a  supportive  and  caring  GMC  family.  I  am invested  in  contributing  to  the  success  of  GMC,  now  and in  the  future.  Our  Catholic  faith  is  extremely  important  to our  family  and  I  would  like  to  continue  to  assist  in  serving the  school  and  our  GMC  families  by  participating  in decision  making  and  facilitating  communication  between parents,  teachers,  and  the  parish  community.  I  believe that  being  involved  in  HSA  is  an  excellent  way  to  stay informed,  to  forge  relationships,  and  to  become  a  positive  force  for  change  and  improvement  of our  children’s  education.  Thank  You!
