Meet our H.S.A. Treasurer - Melissa Munoz

Mother to Maliah (7th Grade), Drew (5th Grade), and Cole (3rd Grade)

I am  a  wife,  a  mom  to  3  very  active  kids,  and  a teacher.  I  enjoy  the  outdoors,  being  on  the  lake with  my  family,  watching  my  kids  play  sports  and attending  college/professional  sporting  events.  We have  two  pugs  (Luke  and  Leia)  that  we  adore  and  3 very  lovely  chickens  that  we  spoil! I  have  served  on  the  Fatima  auction  committee  for two  years  and  before  COVID  volunteered  in  the classroom  and  went  on  all  field  trips  that  were offered  to  my  children.    Although  we  have  only been  at  GMC  for  the  past  2  years  we  attended  St. Aloysius  before  that  and  I  was  a  very  active volunteer.  I  was  also  an  officer  of  the  Parents’  Club Committee  before  we  transferred  to  GMC. I feel  like  the  best  way  to  become  part  of  a community  is  to  really  dive  into  it  as  much  as possible.  I  have  been  the  treasurer  for  my daughter’s  travel  softball  team  for  the  past  3  years and  many  families  entrust  me  with  their  money.  I deal  with  tens  of  thousands  of  dollars  and  multiple accounts.  My  daughter,  Maliah  Munoz,  has  also been the Student  Council  Treasurer.  I  think  this  position might  just  be  meant  for  us  Munoz  ladies!
